Drive to Jaffa (Jonah 1,3). Here St. Peter worked the Miracle of raising Tabitha to life (Acts 9: 36,41) and here he had the vision in which God invited him to gather also the Gentiles to the bosom of the church. On to Tel Aviv or Netanya for dinner and overnight.
Drive via the coastal highway to Caesarea, the ancient Roman Theater, the Crusader city and the Aqueduct serve as a back-drop to the Book of Acts; Cornelius was the first gentile to become a Christian and St. Paul was imprisoned for two years here, before he sailed to Rome. Drive to Haifa (Mt. Carmel) visit Stella Maris Church. We then continue to Meggido, which was a fortress city for King Solomon.
Continue to Nazareth where Jesus spent most of his life. Visit the Church of Annunciation and St. Joseph’s workshop. After the visit drive to Cana of Galilee, where the Lord made his first miracle, to visit the Wedding church. Continue to Tiberias for dinner and overnight.
This morning we enjoy a Boat ride on the Sea of Galilee in a replica wooden Jesus boat.
Then proceed for a visit to the Mt. of Beatitudes, where Jesus preached his Sermon on the mount. On to Capernaum, where the Lord made it his second home after Nazareth. Continue to Tabgha, the biblical place, where 5000 men where fed by Jesus. We continue to Caesarea Phillipi (Banias) in the Golan Heights and for a view of the Lebanese border..
Then visit Mensa Christi – John 21:1. After the visit drive to the River Jordan (Yardenit) site for baptism, return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
This morning we’ll leave the sea of Galillee. Drive along the Jordan Valley to Beit Shean and then passing Jericho, the world’s oldest city. Just beside the wall of Jericho, to the east, is the fountain of Eliseus. It was here the spring’s bitter waters were turned sweet by the prophet’s handful of salt (21 Kings 2: 19). From here the Mt. of Temptation can be seen
On to Jerusalem. Drive to our hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.
Drive to Mt. of Olives to visit the Garden of Gethsemane, the Church of all Nations. Enter the Dung Gate for a walking tour in the Old City.
We will visit the Davidson Center and then onto Visit the Western (Wailing) Wall and the Rabbinical Tunnel. (upon availability from the CRO)
Follow the footsteps of Jesus along the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. On through the Christian Quarter to the Jaffa Gate. then back to Jerusalem for overnight.
After breakfast, we will drive to Bethany for visit of the tomb of Lazarus and the Church built on the house of Marta and Mary. Then we will drive to Mt. Zion for a visit to King David’s Tomb and the Room of the Last Supper (Luke 22: 7, 13), then to visit the Dormition Abby. Continue to the Menora (Candelabra) near the Knesseth (Israeli Parliament). Drive on to the Yad Vashem Museum, memorial site for the six million holocaust victims in World War II. In the afternoon, drive to Bethlehem, starlit village where there was no room in the inn (Luke 1: 4-7). The birthplace of King David and Jesus. Pass by Mother Rachel’s Tomb, then we will visit the Church of Nativity, view the Shepherds Fields, stop to shopping in Bethlehem.
Continue to Ain Karem the birth place of John the Baptist, then to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
This morning we will drive through the Judean Desert to Qumran where the Dead Sea scrolls where found for a visit, . Here we’ll have opportunity to float (swim) on the water of the Dead Sea. Continue to Massada where a determined band of Jewish Zealots in the face if unimaginable hardship and privation held off their Roman attackers for an incredible three years after Jerusalem had fallen to Titus in 70 A.D.
Upon arriving to the foot of the Mountain on which Massada sits, you will ascend the summit by a modern cable car. Once on top of the summit, you will tour the ruins and hear the account of one of the most fascinating tragedies in recorded history.
After the visit we will descend by Cable car from the o\mount.
Return to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.
Transfer to Airport for departure.
